Ciick the words below to go quickly to that group.
| ... for ServingPeople ask if our boards are meant for serving or cutting. We say they’re for whatever you want—they ARE made of hardwood!
I know it’s hard to believe, but if you use one of our wooden knives on a wooden board, no marks will occur. However, if you cut with a metal knife on ANY wood, there will be scars. Use our easy-care methods to keep your wooden pieces lustrous and lovely! Some folks cut on one side with a wooden knife to preserve the fun designs, and on the other with metal. WE ARE OUT OF THE WORKSHOP TILL MARCH 15TH. PLEASE, NO ORDERS TILL THAT TIME! |
SHAPES
Serving Boards with no other purpose but Fun!
Artist Palette | This board has jumped to first place for the artistic crowd. It holds a lot and fits easily, painter-style, on the arm for walking and serving. We save our special nuggets of wood for the “paint dabs” which go all the way through the board—for use by left- or right-handed painters! Pair with a paintbrush knife for fun serving! Small 10.75" x 8.25" Large 13" x 10" $95, 105 |

Toast | With or without crust, in a variety of flavors from pumpernickel (Black Walnut), Bird's-eye Maple (special order) for whole grain or whole wheat (Cherry). Our most popular hostess gift—looks great with a small cheese knife attached. As with all Small Boards, I keep one in the kitchen for chopping small things—garlic, lemons, onions. And another on the sideboard for serving cheese. Small 5.5" x 6" Large 6.5" x 7" $25-30 |
MUSIC
I started by making a violin board, but soon gave in to requests for guitars and mandolins. Now we have the makings of a bluegrass band and a string quartet and, except for the piano of course, the neck works well as a handle for serving at parties.

CRITTERS
When we first started to homestead, we looked forward to outbuildings full of chickens, ducks, goats, bees and puppies. For the time being, though--with a busy show schedule, a new workshop to build, plus grandchildren to play with--we must settle for these wooden friends.
All of our Critters have a contrasting-wood eye on one side only—some folks can’t bear to cut on them with that eye staring up at them!
