Hello from Meb Boden and Tom Vaiciulis! All our work, from layout to finish, is made of New England hardwoods, in our rural, 600-square-foot workshop.
Unlike some craftspeople who are simply designers with a factory here or abroad and a warehouse of stock waiting to ship, Tom and I design and MAKE each piece that comes out of our workshop. Our simplest piece, the cheese knife, takes 11 steps, but most require 20 steps from layout to final finish. No big factory, no outsourcing, no crowds of employees. Just us. Meb and Tom. And a few friends from time to time. So we DON’T keep masses of product (all the same) ready for purchase. When you want something, maybe we’ll find the one you want waiting here in the workshop. But most likely we’ll make you one, out of the type of wood you want, with special requests (use your imagination) sprinkled in for good measure. | What News?__ With sorrow, I tell you of the recent passing of my dear Mom. Read more about her love of music under the musical serving boards. I’ve inherited her cello—I look forward to learning to play!
We’re off on our yearly trip south for two important American Craft Council shows. Check below for dates and times. Come visit us there if you can! Please note: WE CANNOT TAKE ANY ONLINE ORDERS TILL OUR RETURN ON MARCH 15. We truly appreciate your patronage and hope we don’t cause any inconvenience.
