Our Handmade Art
Each of Meb's Kitchenwares are Masterfully Handcrafted pieces Functioning Art. Each piece is made with thoughtfully selected and sustainably sourced New England Hardwood.
Unlike some craftspeople who are simply designers with a factory here or abroad, and a warehouse of stock waiting to ship, Tom and I design and MAKE each piece that comes out of our workshop. Our simplest piece, the humble cheese knife, takes 11 steps, but most require 20 steps to complete.
Come to a show to get first dibs on our newest inventions and our one-of-a-kind work. But if we aren’t nearby and you need a fun gift for a foodie in your life, visit our Online Store or Etsy Shop for easy browsing.
The high quality of our work is the same whether you buy online or at a show. The only difference between the two is this: online we must maintain a close resemblance to the photos, so you’ll know what you’re getting. At shows we have no restrictions, so there’s more variety in both our work and in the woods we use.
No big factory, no outsourcing, no crowds of employees. Just us. Meb and Tom, along with a few friends who help out from time to time. So we DON’T keep masses of product (all the same) ready for purchase.
When you want something, maybe we’ll find it here waiting for you in our workshop. But most likely we will be making your piece with you in mind, out of the type of wood you want, along with special requests sprinkled in for good measure.
